This week’s Crumbl lineup offered familiar cookies but with a twist. For this release, Crumbl also supplied a springtime box, designed with pastel flowers and greenery and adding a joyous, youthful feel to the cookies. Their new seasonal boxes continue to boost the excitement surrounding their cookies’ presentation, additionally attracting new customers with the eye-catching advertising. Crumbl served each cookie this week warm, from gooey peanut butter to a simple confetti sugar cookie.
No. 4: Vanilla Crumb Cake Cookie ft. GOLDEN OREO®
Crumbl has continually attempted to make Oreo-themed cookies and other desserts. In this week’s lineup, they went at a new approach, taking the lesser-known GOLDEN OREO® and turning it into a Crumbl cake cookie. Despite the enticing presentation of the swirl of vanilla cream cheese frosting and golden Oreo pieces sprinkled throughout, this cookie unfortunately missed the mark. The imbalance between the warm cookie base to the cream cheese frosting left the frosting melted, the strong Oreo flavor was lacking, and the cream cheese frosting overpowered the entire cookie. Thus, the Vanilla Crumb Cake Cookie ft. GOLDEN OREO® earns two and a half out of five feathers.
No. 3: Peanut Butter Cup Cookie ft. REESE’S
This cookie was overly dense and the peanut butter flavor overpowered the whole cookie. The pool of melted peanut butter chips and drizzle of gooey milk chocolate made the cookie’s texture too soft, adding to the over-denseness of the cookie. Sprinkled on top of the cookie were REESE’S peanut butter cups, which added some needed sweetness to the cookie while also slightly upping the presentation. Overall, the Peanut Butter Cup Cookie ft. REESE’S earns three and a half out of five feathers.
No. 2: Confetti Cookie
Crumbl has truly nailed their classic sugar cookie, and the Confetti Cookie was no exception. The vanilla sugar cookie, packed with rainbow sprinkles and served warm, is just the right blend of simple yet enticing. The cookie wasn’t too dense or rich in flavor, and had the perfect mix of crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The rainbow sprinkles didn’t add much to the flavor, but they incorporated a sense of youthfulness to the cookie, making it all the more enjoyable. The only thing missing from this cookie was a little variation, lacking any additions to up the flavor palate. Despite Crumbl often going above and beyond in their flavor choices, the Confetti Cookie is a simpler dessert, deserving of 4.5 out of five feathers.
No. 1: Chocolate Cookies & Cream Cookie
The winner of this week’s Crumbl cookie lineup is without a doubt the Chocolate Cookies & Cream Cookie. This cookie perfectly blends together bold flavors into a combination that melts in your mouth. Scattered creamy white chocolate chips add a sweetness to the cookie and break up the chocolate base. Cookies & cream pieces can also be found scattered and baked into the cookie, only elevating the flavor. Though this cookie does not knock it out of the park with the presentation, as it looked slightly dirty and unorganized, the crispy chocolate base and the creamy white chocolate made it this week’s winner. The Chocolate Cookies & Cream Cookie earns a five out of five feathers.
