As March rolls around, music festival fans in the Bay Area have lots to look forward to with another highly anticipated Outside Lands (OSL) lineup. Following last year’s youth-targeted and popular lineup, Archie Williams student anticipation has built up for this year’s reveal. The 2026 lineup, released March 3, features a diverse mix of young and decorated artists, with headliners Charli xcx, Empire of the Sun, and The Strokes, and smaller-scale artists sosocamo, Malcom Todd, and Lane 8.
Charli xcx, one of this year’s most well-known headliners, is a 33-year-old British singer-songwriter who rose to fame with her feature on the hit song “I Love It” by Icona Pop and her song “Boom Clap.” She later reestablished her fame in 2024 with her 3-time Grammy Award-winning Brat album. Fans around the globe are excited for Charli XCX’s high-energy dancefloor staples that she will bring to OSL.
Rüfüs Du Sol is a Grammy Award-winning trio from Australia. This alternative dance group is known for their house music blended with indie pop vocals, shown in their hit songs “Interbloom” and “Music is Better.” While they have a younger target audience, people of all ages can be excited for Rüfüs Du Sol’s strong house-music energy at OSL.
The Strokes are a Grammy Award-winning American rock band popular among all ages. The Strokes are known for songs such as “Someday” and “The Adults Are Talking,” two iconic songs that take current high schoolers back to their middle school years. This alternative indie rock group is a terrific band for everyone to enjoy at OSL.
Empire of the Sun, an Australian electronic band, is another celebrated headliner. Their album, Walking On A Dream, has hit songs, including “Walking On A Dream” and “We Are The People,” both with over a million listens on Spotify. Empire of the Sun is going to draw many to this festival with their fun and summery songs.
Baby Keem, a 25-year-old American rapper and record producer, will also be a star at OSL this year. The festival will follow the recent drop of his new album, Casino. Fans can also be excited about his older hit songs, “16” and “Family Ties,” featuring Kendrick Lamar. Baby Keem’s entertaining performance will likely spotlight a mix of his new album and older favorites.
Djo, better known as Joe Keery, is also set to headline this year’s Outside Lands festival. He is an American actor and singer-songwriter who played Steve Harrington in Stranger Things and Gator Tillman in Fargo. His smash hit, “End of Beginning,” rose to popularity on TikTok in 2024. Djo’s indie rock vibe will be sure to draw many fans to OSL this year with songs everyone can sing to.
Griztronics, an exciting house and electronic group at OSL this year, is a collaboration between electronic music producers Subtronics and GRiZ. Their song “Griztronics” has around 60 million streams on Spotify. EDM fans will flock to OSL for Griztronics’ lively performance.
The xx is a British indie-pop band performing at OSL. They are known for their hit song, “The Intro,” released in 2009. James Smith, better known as Jamie xx, is a famous house artist who also performed at last year’s OSL and is a part of the xx. This indie pop band may cater to older fans, but it is still a hit among many high schoolers.
Turnstile, a rock band formed in 2010, will bring their unique hardcore punk style to OSL this year. Known for their hit song “BLACKOUT,” Turnstile plays hardcore punk led by vocalist Brendan Yates. This is the first time hardcore punk has appeared at OSL, introducing a new genre to the festival’s lineup.
Labrinth is another headliner attending Outside Lands with several recent standout tracks from the Euphoria soundtrack, such as “All for Us” (ft. Zendaya) and “Still Don’t Know My Name.” Labrinth’s electronic R&B energy will be a new addition to OSL that previous years have lacked.
Dijon, a rising artist, will be performing at OSL. Known for his hit “The Dress,” which Olivia Dean recreated, he first became popular in 2022 and has since fully blown up. Fans can look forward to Dijon’s alternative indie-soul music.
Other fan favorites that will be attending OSL this year are Malcolm Todd, Modest Mouse, Disco Lines, Sienna Spiro, it’s murph, Mariah the Scientist, Audrey Hobert, and Marlon Funaki. With a lineup catering to all ages and genres, this year’s OSL festival is sure to be the right fit for all.
