On Friday, April 18, American pop-rock band The Wrecks took over the UC Theater Taube Family Music Hall in Berkeley for one night of high-energy music and entertaining fan engagement. The LA-based four-piece formed in 2015 and currently consists of lead singer Nick Anderson, lead guitarist Nick “Schmizz” Schmidt, bassist Aaron Kelley, and drummer William “Billy” Nally, all featured on the first half of their new album, INSIDE, released April 11. Their first show in the Bay Area since 2023, the opening night of the “Inside: Outside Tour” was a roaring success, filling the local-favorite UC Theater with enthusiastic fans even with a late start time of 9:50 p.m. Supported by opening artists Quarters of Change and Benjamin Carter, The Wrecks will continue their momentum into the remainder of their international tour, set to conclude in LA May 31.
