The first week of March brings along a perfect lineup of Crumbl Cookies. Crumbl Cookies, a Utah cookie shop turned national franchise, offers a robust cookie selection, which changes every week. While there is usually an obvious winning and losing cookie, this week they are (almost) all winners.
Cookie Butter White Chip ft. Biscoff®:
Crammed with Biscoff® cookie bits and white chocolate chips, this warm butter-flavored cookie brings variety with every bite. The rich and comforting cookie butter dough melts in your mouth, and a half Biscoff® cookie tops it off in lieu of frosting. With mostly satisfying elements, from flavor to texture, Cookie Butter White Chip earns 8.5/10 feathers.
Blueberry Cheesecake:
This cookie takes a berry twist on Crumbl’s classic cheesecake cookies. The thick and fluffy base dough is accompanied by a graham cracker dust and cream cheese frosting. What sets this cookie apart is its remarkable topping. The cream cheese frosting is adorned with a sweet blueberry compote. The only downside is that there isn’t quite enough of the fresh-tasting topping. The small dollop in the middle of the cookie weakens its potential, a larger portion would lead to more bursting flavor. Despite a scarcity of blueberry compote, the plain cheesecake bites are superb, making this cake-inspired cookie deserving of 8/10 feathers.
Cookies & Cream Milkshake ft. Mini OREO®:
This chilled cookie captures the spirit of OREO® but goes overboard with the sweetness. The vanilla buttercream frosting and dough loaded with OREO® cookie pieces had flavor potential. However, the sickeningly sweet flavor overpowers the chocolate OREO® and just one bite proves to be overwhelming. Due to that erasure of any other flavor, Cookies & Cream Milkshake earns 4/10 feathers.
Buckeye Brownie:
The dense, warm, chocolate base of this cookie might be boring on its own. However, slathered with thick peanut butter and a chocolate shell, every bite is packed with an intense peanut flavor, giving a classic cookie a desirably unique taste. The thick bottom layer of peanut butter harbors little sweetness and resembles the peanut butter in Girl Scout Tagalongs®, from which the entire cookie takes inspiration. The only downside of this creative cookie is that when bitten into, the entire layer of peanut butter and hardened chocolate shell rises up and separates from the rest of the cookie. Buckeye Brownie earns 7/10 feathers.
