On Thursday Nov. 2, at around 12:15 p.m., two cars collided on the corner of Sunny Hills Dr. and Sir Francis Drake Blvd in San Anselmo. The accident occurred when a blue Honda Pilot moving at a high speed attempted to turn right onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd, cutting in front of a white Chevrolet pickup truck. The truck couldn’t stop fast enough, and the Honda flipped onto its left side on the sidewalk.

Witnesses reported seeing a pedestrian trapped underneath the overturned Honda. The police, arriving quickly at the scene, freed the driver of the vehicle and the trapped citizen, but exact details regarding the timeline of the incident remain unconfirmed.

The crash harmed no Archie Williams students, but some were in close proximity to the accident when it occurred. The crash caused no fatalities, but the drivers and trapped pedestrian were both injured to an unknown extent. After the accident, paramedics carried one woman, presumed to be the injured pedestrian, away from the scene on a stretcher.

The Honda Pilot driver appeared conscious after the incident, and pedestrians saw the individual climbing out of their vehicle. Still, it is unclear what injuries they may have sustained. Similarly, the truck driver’s condition wasn’t easily discernible, but witnesses believe their injuries were minor due to the deployment of the car’s airbags.

Police officially alerted citizens of the accident at around 12:40 p.m., and instructed drivers and motorcyclists to find alternate routes.

The crash left the Honda Pilot severely damaged on its passenger side, and the truck sustained a partially crushed front bumper. More details about the drivers and passengers have yet to be released.
