On Sept. 14 and 15 during lunch by the senior tree, ASB organized the annual Club Day, an event showcasing the variety clubs at Archie Williams
Club Day, a bi-annual tradition at Archie Williams, allows students to look into various clubs and sign up for ones they deem interesting. For two days, students roamed the stands, investigating and enrolling in clubs of their choice.
The Nutrition Club sparked the interest of many students this year. The club goes on field trips to local restaurants and educates their members on proper nutrition.
“The nutrition club looked interesting because they take field trips to Salt ‘N Pepper and Redhill. Also, they were going to have a petition to change school lunch,” said sophomore Ben Bergen.
The Aviation Club also intrigued many students. They promoted their club with a large flight rig and vibrant poster, showcasing their aspirations.
“I think we can improve a lot this year. We can do some more organized events and teach people to fly a little better. We talk about current events in the aviation world, teach people to fly in the flight simulator and network with pilots and other people local in the industry,” said junior and club member Jonah Rossiter.
Mountain Biking Club acquired many signatures and a constant flow of students. The club team gets together to socialize, practice on different local trails, and participate in races in the area.
“I joined the mountain biking club freshman year at Archie, and it has been one of the most fun communities I have been a part of,” said senior Nicolas Berberich. “A great part about the team is how any skill level can join. I have met many new people through the years and made many new memories on the team.”
Club day successfully displayed student desires and ambitions, allowing Falcons to find others who had shared interests and meet new peers.
“Club day helped me find things that I was interested in and new people that shared the same interests,” said sophomore Ben Gross.
