Archie Williams Athletes commit to their future school on National Signing Day

During lunch on Wednesday, May 9, three Archie Williams athletes signed their National Letter of Intent to commit to the college they will be attending. National Signing Day is a proud day for the Archie Williams athletic department as the history of successful Falcon athletes continues. Sam Black, Laurel Cooper, and Axl Yarbrough pledged their future this year.

Laurel will be going to the Division 1 University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She will be playing goalie on the water polo team. Laurel played water polo for 4 years for the Falcons and was on varsity for 3 of them. During her career, she rebounded from a major injury during her junior year to star in her senior year. 

Sam will be attending Division 3 Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. He will be a pitcher for the Bearcats baseball team. Sam was an integral part of the baseball and football programs at Archie Williams for the past 4 years. He was on varsity in both sports for two years.

Axl is going to be playing football at Division 3 Linfield University in McMinnville, Oregon. Axl is going to be an offensive lineman for the Wildcats. Axl was a 3 year varsity starter for the Falcons and was a part of the football program for 4 years.
