Water main break on Brookside Dr. causes minor street flooding
At approximately 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, workers from the Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) responded to a call regarding a water main break next to the intersection of Brookside Dr. and Roble Crt. The report came after MMWD workers repaired a nearby water break that same morning.
Marc Mccready, a MMWD utility worker and the first repairperson to arrive on the scene, attributes the break to old piping. After arriving at the scene,
Mccready shut off the affected water main to prevent any further leakage from the damaged piping.
Mccready does not anticipate any traffic issues due to the break, and believes repairs will likely be complete by midnight.
“We shouldn’t have to close [Brookside Dr.], we should be fine,” Mccready said.
