The Archie Williams girls varsity volleyball team continued their California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) state championship defense in the quarterfinals of the North Coast Section (NCS) playoffs against Terra Linda High School. The two previous matchups between these two teams during the regular season resulted in two Archie Williams victories. The Falcons took their talons out once again and swept the Trojans in 3 straight sets. In the first set the Falcons never let Terra Linda get a foothold in the game and won the set 25-11. The second set was the most competitive of the game that resulted in a tight 25-22 win for the Falcons. Archie Williams continued their dominance and put a stamp on the match with a commanding 25-16 third set victory to sweep the Trojans and send the Falcons onto the semifinals. In the semifinals the 3 seed Archie Williams Falcons will face off against the University Red Devils on Wednesday, November 1 at the University campus in San Francisco, California.
