On Monday Sept. 11, at 6:31 p.m., a car accident took place on Woodside Drive in San Anselmo. The two drivers involved in the accident remained relatively unharmed, with paramedics quickly arriving at the scene.
The accident occurred when a BMW was waiting at the stop sign. A jeep peeled into woodside, cutting the corner and drove straight over the BMW ripping it open. The jeep promptly flipped, and the airbags were deployed. The BMW driver and his dog were fine but a little shaken. The Jeep driver came out with a bloody nose and a possible concussion.
“I heard a massive bang and I looked up and saw a Jeep slam into the black car as it was swerving,” said Archie Williams freshman Josh Levit, who witnessed the accident happen near his home.
The driver of the BMW exited his car seemingly unscathed, and with the help of neighbors who saw the accident happen, helped the driver of the Jeep out of his sideways vehicle. Emergency services were contacted, and neighbors surveyed the damage. Witnesses of the sudden accident said it seemed easily avoidable, but a scary moment to witness.
“I was coming up on the other side of the road as I saw the Jeep flip,” said Archie Williams freshman Charlie Wolf, “A couple people stopped and helped the people get out of the car. Everyone seemed to be okay.”
The vehicles were severely damaged, and both drivers came out with serious injuries.
