Meet your 2025-26 ASB leadership candidates
Junior Alia Torres Cardenas is running to become the 2025-26 ASB president.
ASB president

Alia Torres Cardenas 

Alia is a junior in her second year of Associated Student Body (ASB) running to be the ASB president. Alia is passionate about leadership and fostering school spirit and participation. Alia volunteers at the Wade Thomas Elementary resource program, plays soccer, and works at Pizzalina. After high school, Alia aspires to work in education and policy. If elected, Alia wants to heighten spirit day participation and ensure inclusivity for all students.

Junior Leo Spampanato is running to become the 2025-26 ASB vice president.
ASB vice president

Leo Spampanato 

Leo is a junior in his first year of ASB, running to be the ASB vice president to revitalize student enthusiasm and ensure school is enjoyable for everyone. During the past year, Leo has worked alongside junior class president Ben Gross and senior class president Jasper Cohen to organize several events. Leo is on the Archie Williams varsity baseball team, has a younger brother at the school, and is training to become a commercial airline pilot.

Junior Felicity Brown is running to become the 2025-26 ASB vice president.
ASB vice president

Felicity Brown

Felicity is a junior running to be the ASB vice president. After two years in ASB, Felicity wants to take on a larger role. She feels her experience in planning events like Archie Madness and rallies makes her a good candidate for ASB vice president. Felicity is on the varsity volleyball team, enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the gym, and has identical twin brothers who are freshmen at Archie Williams. Felicity also job shadows at Marin Health in the radiology department. If elected, Felicity hopes to increase school spirit and participation in ASB events for all students to have a good time.

Junior Ellery Ford is running to become the 2025-26 ASB vice president.
ASB vice president

Ellery Ford 

Ellery is a junior in her second year of ASB, running to be the ASB vice president. During her time in leadership, she has enjoyed taking initiative, developing new ideas, and boosting school spirit. If elected, Ellery would prioritize making the school a more energized, community-oriented space and emphasize improving spirit day and rally participation. At school, Ellery plays varsity volleyball and runs the Staff-Student Appreciation Group within ASB; outside, she coaches volleyball for young girls. In the future, she hopes to enter forensic analysis and potentially become a professional volleyball coach.

Junior Ben Gross is running to become the 2025-26 senior class president.
Senior class president

Ben Gross

Ben is a junior in his first year of ASB, and he is running to be the senior class president. Ben is the current junior class president and feels his experience in this position and his outgoing personality make him a good candidate for senior class president. Ben’s goals, if elected, would be to strengthen the bond between upperclassmen to ensure that everyone is included and has a good time. Ben is a member of the Archie Williams water polo team and swim team. Fun fact: he has met Kevin Durant! Ben is unsure of his goals after high school, but he hopes to make an impact and help people.

Junior Grady Stewart (left) is running to become the 2025-26 senior class president.
Senior class president

Grady Stewart

Grady is a junior and is running for senior class president. Currently, Grady participates in outside-of-school golf and Archie Williams basketball, where he was the captain of the varsity basketball team. This position allowed him to learn how to bring his teammates together and guide a group through challenges. Grady hopes to bring this experience to the role of senior class president and make the Archie Williams community more unified.

Sophomore Hazel Hovey is running to become the 2025-26 junior class president.
Junior class president

Hazel Hovey

Hazel is a sophomore in her second year of ASB, and she is running for the position of junior class president. With a year of experience in ASB, she understands how the class runs and what planning for events entails. She feels her outgoing and social personality will help her promote school spirit and represent student voices well. Hazel plays volleyball, is a twin, and her birthday is on April Fools’ Day. Hazel’s goals, if elected, are to have a lot of participation during spirit days and rallies, along with a spirited student section at sports games.

Sophomore Petra Betti is running to become the 2025-26 junior class president.
Junior class president

Petra Betti

Petra is a sophomore running for junior class president. She loves leadership roles and being able to speak for the masses. Petra is involved in an array of activities, including sports, music, theater, and honors programs; if elected, she would utilize those skills and experience to understand her peers’ unique needs and connect with them. Petra would also prioritize unity, both within the grade and across the school, and wants to bring everyone’s individual groups together as a class. She’d like to incorporate more acknowledgment and celebration of the Asian American community, having grown up around Asian culture and possessing an appreciation for it. In the future, Petra plans to pursue a career in music and is semi-fluent in Mandarin.

Freshman Alice Lafranchi is running to become the 2025-26 sophomore class president.
Sophomore class president

Alice Lafranchi

Alice is a freshman and hopes to be elected as the sophomore class president. She considers herself a natural leader and is eager to step into the position. If elected, Alice would prioritize the visibility of identity months and work to plan events that emphasize their importance. At school, Alice plays lacrosse and field hockey and is a part of the drama program. She believes that she possesses the skills and attitude to be an effective leader and is determined to get things done as president. Alice’s favorite color is pink, and she hopes to become a nurse or a lawyer after graduation.

Freshman Catalina Karr is running to become the 2025-26 sophomore class president.
Sophomore class president

Catalina Karr

Catalina is a freshman running to be the sophomore class president. She is running for this position because she wants to be a leader at school and amplify sophomore student voices. Catalina plays beach volleyball and soccer. Although she has not participated in any leadership positions at Archie Williams, in middle school she had a leadership position where she helped younger students and planned spirit activities. If elected, Catalina hopes to make sure that all students’ voices are heard and to make the 2025-26 school year a fun one.

Freshman Alexis Hinsdale is running for sophomore class president.
Sophomore class president

Alexis Hinsdale

Alexis is a freshman running to be the sophomore class president because she feels that spirit can make a difference in anyone’s high school experience. If elected, she hopes to boost participation and make sure everyone has a fun time and feels included at Archie Williams. In her free time, Alexis runs cross country, plays soccer, and sings. She feels she is a good candidate due to her previous leadership in middle school and her social skills, and she hopes to make everyone feel important.

Freshman Braden Podboy is running to become the 2025-26 sophomore class president.
Sophomore class president

Braden Podboy

Braden is a freshman running to be next year’s sophomore class president. Braden is eager to become a leader for his grade and is confident that his friendliness, challenge-ready nature, and planning skills will serve him well if elected. As president, Braden would like to emphasize communication and bonding across his grade. He also hopes to incorporate better class representation and leadership during rallies. Braden plays water polo and basketball, surfs, fishes, and rides dirt bikes. He enjoys spending time in nature and aspires to travel the world after high school.

Sophomore Devin Singh is running to become the 2025-26 ASB treasurer.
ASB treasurer

Devin Singh

Devin is a sophomore in his first year of ASB, running to be the ASB treasurer. Devin feels he is a good candidate for this position as he enjoys working with numbers and finance, and he thinks he will do well staying organized. This past year, Devin has learned the ropes from the current treasurer, making him a good fit for this position. If elected, Devin wants to reduce unnecessary spending while supporting student needs. In his free time, Devin plays soccer for both club and Archie Williams, and he is a track athlete. After high school, Devin hopes to pursue a business-related career.

Sophomore Caelan O'Neil is running to become the 2025-26 ASB secretary.
ASB secretary

Caelan O’Neil

Caelan is a sophomore in her second year of ASB. If elected, Caelan would prioritize planning ahead, and aims to eliminate the need to make last-minute decisions. During her time in ASB, Caelan has served as the communications liaison and helped plan events such as Winter Formal, the Lodge, and Valentine’s Grams. Caelan is a member of Dance Troupe and has been dancing since the age of two, expanding past ballet to contemporary and hip-hop. She wants to enter the medical field and hopes to visit Greece in the future.

Junior Adria Losa is running to become the 2025-26 ASB secretary.
ASB secretary

Adria Losa

Adria is a junior and is running for ASB secretary. Adria believes her organizational skills make her a strong candidate for this role. If elected, Adria wants to create If elected, Adria wants to create consistency and structure in ASB after years of rotating advisors and keep everyone, including the ASB president, on track and organized. Outside of school, Adria is a member of the Archie Williams Dance Troupe, dances at Just Dance Academy, and works at Sol Food in San Rafael. Following high school, Adria hopes to go to college in California and possibly go into sales.

Freshman Chris Tomlin is running to become the 2025-26 student trustee.
Student trustee to the board

Chris Tomlin

Chris is a freshman running for student trustee to the board. He considers himself a natural leader and aims to prioritize listening to students’ opinions and understanding what they want to change. Chris is dedicated to water polo and swimming and hopes to earn a degree in engineering. He enjoys building robots, and if elected, he’d work to give each sports team equal support and access to needed equipment.

Junior Evelyn Jones is running for student trustee to the board.
Student trustee to the board

Evelyn Jones

Evelyn is a junior in her first year of Peer Resource (PR) and is running for student trustee to the board. Evelyn believes she is a good candidate for this position because of her lifelong interest in leadership and her knack for public speaking. Recently, her involvement in PR has given her leadership experience, and she works with adults in multiple jobs outside of school, including waitressing and childcare. If she is elected, Evelyn will bring more awareness and student outreach to the position. In elementary school, she ran for student government 12 separate times without obtaining a position, and she hopes this campaign will result differently! After high school, Evelyn hopes to study biology and do research in college, and she plans on becoming a psychiatrist.

Junior Milo Jaffe is running for student trustee to the board.
Student trustee to the board

Milo Jaffe

Milo is a junior and is running for student trustee to the board. Before coming to Archie Williams this year, Milo participated in leadership at his previous high school, Headlands Preparatory, and hopes to bring that experience to this position. If elected, he wants to advocate for more fair, inclusive, and equitable education and hopes to work closely with the student body to educate the board on improvements to be made. Currently, Milo enjoys playing tennis and bike riding and has biked a metric century– a 100 km ride. After high school, he hopes to go to college to study psychology or maybe follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and study astrophysics.
