The girl’s golf team is off to a bumpy start. Led by Coach Andre Demian, captains Bella Griggs, Gigi Yore, and Carly Zimmerman, they have played eight games this season looking for a first win.
Both Griggs and Arianna Ortiz have started off strong.

Coaches named them players of the week and hope their success will continue.
Demian loves coaching the team whether they have success or not.

“It’s been an unfortunate start, but these girls are working really hard. I’m sure we’ll start getting the results we want soon,” Demian said.

The girls have been through many ups and downs over the past couple of years. From fighting for a win to worrying about losing their course, they have had to be adaptable.
“It was a bit stressful last year thinking about where to play, but we’ve been lucky enough to be able to stay on the course for another season. Our team has been super flexible through it all,” Demian said.

The three captains look forward to this season despite their current record.

“Although this program has struggled in the past couple years, we have the leadership and work ethic in the program to start building a team for the future,” Griggs said.
